Fertilize & Weed Control

Don't let the weeds win! Maedgen's Lawn Care is a fully licensed and insured fertilizer & pesticide application company. We use granular, slow release fertilizer. And in the fall will start using liquid fertilizers for overnight results. Applications are done 6 to 7 weeks apart. To maintain a constant supply of nutrients to your lawn and keep weeds at a minimum we recommend five applications. Liquid broadleaf weed control is applied as needed.


Application #1
Early Spring fertilizer and pre-emergent crabgrass control
This application contains a granular slow release fertilizer and pre-emergent crabgrass control. This will bring lawn areas out of dormancy and lay down a barrier to help prevent crabgrass seeds from germinating.


Application #2
Late spring fertilizer
This application contains a granular slow release fertilizer and liquid weed control as required.


Application #3
Summer fertilizer
This application contains granular slow release fertilizer.


Application #4
Late summer fertilizer
This application contains granular slow release fertilizer.


Application #5
Fall fertilizer and winterizer
This application of granular slow release fertilizer has higher rates of Phosphorus (p) and Potassium (k). This aids in strong root growth, and helps the lawn stay healthy over winter. This also helps to "green up" the lawn sooner in the spring.
